Carefree is nestled in the high Sonoran Desert five minutes from the Scottsdale border. Massive piles of granite boulders, sharp mountains and an abundance of desert growth surround the area and provide scenes that attract visitors from around the world. The town of Carefree also boasts the claim of the largest sundial in the western hemisphere. This wonderfully unique town provides the perfect backdrop for this celebration of fine art, great wine, live entertainment, gourmet food and much more
Thunderbird Artists has combined Arizona’s highest quality art event with the state’s largest wine tasting event for a magnificent weekend in downtown Carefree. This festival features renowned artists from throughout the United States and fine wines from around the world. All together, this event promises to be a weekend to forever remember.
The festival promises to accommodate every art lover’s passions with over 165 juried artists from throughout the United States and abroad displaying more than 5,000 pieces of original artwork. The festival also marks the return of Arizona's largest wine-tasting event, providing a unique opportunity to sample an extensive collection of domestic and imported wines. For $10, patrons will receive an engraved souvenir wine or beer glass with six tasting tickets; allowing patrons to come together and enjoy the unequaled atmosphere of fine art, wine, micro-brews and live musical entertainment.
This event, also considered “…a Collector’s Paradise” TM, will take place in downtown Carefree, at 101 Easy Street, near the corner of Easy and Ho Hum streets. Hours are 10am to 5pm each day.
